Dreamweaver CS5 Long “Waiting for server” on uploads

Just recently on CS5 I’ve noticed how annoyingly long it takes to upload to the server, sometimes 30seconds pause before putting files up onto the web server.

There seems to be a really easy solution.

Goto servers > Advanced > Testing Server : Server Model: {SELECT YOUR MODEL}

For me this is PHP MYSQL

I have no idea why this would make any difference to the FTP Performance but, ohmm it does :S

    This is a great fix for the slow uploads. Thanks for posting this – especially as I use WordPress as a cms for all my websites I design and this usually involves a lot of scattered uploading!

    Shitcan Dreamweaver ftp and use FileZilla. WAY better and fast transfers!!

    That did it, cheers! (uploading to ExpressionEngine via Dreamweaver)
