One of the women hadn't had a job in years and had amassed debts of £75,000! Lenders had given this woman seventy-five grand in debt which there was no way in hell she could afford to pay back. This all gets passed around and around and lands on the banks, who hold our savings. Banks have to swallow the cost of these douchebags' mistakes meaning they can't lend to responsible people and businesses. And before long... POP! We're in recession.
